I have more than 30 years experience in electrical engineering, manufacturing projects and services business. My responsibilities were amongst others, field work in a technical capacity, project department management, engineering, sales management and divisional management. I have been extensively involved in sales and marketing management, key account management and operational management in the product, solutions and services business. I have also spent two years abroad on delegation with a large multinational organisation on training and work experience to further my knowledge and expertise. I have also performed as a divisional manager responsible for the Southern African region of a large multinational organisation.
My passion has always been the furthered education of young people and I have always been involved in mentoring both in a formal capacity, ECSA candidates, and informally with any trainee or colleague that was willing to share in my past experiences. I have always encouraged others to further their knowledge, experience and education as far as they possibly can. During my tenure in the services and manufacturing business I have offered my experience and knowledge as much as possible to the SME’s that were providing services to the organisation, in order to assist them in improving their capabilities and abilities to perform better, for themselves and in their services.
